ElderNex

Millions of adult children manage care for aging parents across multiple tools — spreadsheets for medications, group chats for updates, paper documents for insurance, and phone calls to coordinate with siblings. There's no single place to organize everything. Critical information gets lost, responsibilities are unclear, and the emotional burden of caregiving is compounded by logistical chaos. Families needed a dedicated platform that could centralize all aspects of elder care coordination.

We built ElderNex on Next.js with a focus on simplicity and AI-assisted workflows. The platform includes task management with family member assignment, a centralized medication tracker, appointment scheduling with note-taking, and a shared care notes timeline. The standout feature is the AI Care Assistant with three capabilities: Note-to-Task (converts free-form notes into structured tasks), Care Summary (generates shareable summaries for family or clinicians), and Appointment Prep (creates discussion points before doctor visits). All AI suggestions require human review. We implemented role-based family sharing with Owner, Editor, and Viewer access levels.
